Autism does not define our children. It is a disease/condition they have, not what or who they are. Their intelligence, abilities, and potential should not be undermined by a diagnosis.
Early intervention is important if one hopes to achieve future independence. However, we believe it is never too late to explore interventions, treatments and therapies for a child with ASD that may improve their quality of life, regardless of age.
Children with autism deserve access to treatments, therapies, healthcare, education, and interventions that are specifically tailored to their needs.
Parents of children with autism need to know about available treatment options and have the right to choose those therapies that are most beneficial to their child.
